Student Organizations
Each year our organizations participate in community service. Through organizational involvement, criminal justice students have raised more than $10,000 for local charities.
Undergraduate students of all majors who have an interest in criminal justice are encouraged to become members of the Criminal Justice Association. Learn more about the American Criminal Justice Association.
Alpha Phi Sigma is the only National Criminal Justice Honor Society for Criminal Justice Majors. Undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in Criminal Justice Sciences and who have excelled academically are encouraged to become members of the Chi Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma.
The Alpha Phi Sigma Annual Award Ceremony will be held in April of each year. All APS members are invited to attend and be recognized for their outstanding academic achievement and community service.
As a part of the Social Justice Project, you can help raise awareness at Illinois State University and the surrounding area about social injustices that exist around the world. We host debates about controversial topics in order to stimulate thinking about the issues that exist not only in our Criminal Justice System, but in several areas both here in the United States and around the world. We then raise money in order to have an impact on those issues. We also actively strive to end injustices by participating in community service activities and community outreach. Lastly, we have a lot of fun!
